There is so much going on in the world right now and all this unknown can be really scary! We get it! We also know this time can be challenging and different for you and your family! Some of you moms and dads are off work, some are working from home now, some kids are out of school, and many of us can't leave the house or shouldn't. Your world may feel like it has flipped upsidedown.
If your anything like Krista and I, you are probably going a bit crazy by now. It is totally okay to stay in your PJs and watch Netflix all day, but after a while, you start to feel like a hot mess. Mamas, your list of chores won't stop just because the kids are home. There are lots of chores they can help you out with around the house and it will help teach them some responsibility! So have those littles help by doing a few chores a day! Here are a few ideas.

MAMA SELF CARE:
Mamas, we are giving our family our alls right now. We might feel isolated and in need of time for ourselves. That is OK! It is SO important that we take that time and put our needs at the top of our to-do list. We can not pour from an empty cup, so keep it full! There is a lot you can do for yourself while home, so here are a few ideas.
-Turn on a morning show and enjoy your HOT coffee in peace
-Read that book you have been putting off (Family reading time)
-Turn on and indulge in your favorite show!
-Dance to your favorite music. Your littles will have a blast if you invite them to join!
-Nap while the littles nap! The dishes can wait!
-Workout! Hello, endorphins! Here are some free workouts!
-Bake your favorite treat
-Orginize your closet
-Do that thing you always say you will do but don't have time for. (Refinish that dresser, learn to sew, start a blog, write that book)
-Get creative and do your favorite craft
-Call or facetime that friend you haven't seen or talked to in a while
-Enjoy a bath and a nice glass of wine
Overall mamas, although this time is scary and maybe not what we pictured, we can use this time to make precious memories with our littles. We don't have to take things too seriously or be perfect. We can play with them and teach them in different ways. If we do it right, they will be talking about that time they had to stay home from schools, stay at home, and had a blast with their families!
Let's make the most of it!
Love always,
Macayla
