First off, I almost forgot that I needed to blog today, so WHEW! I'm glad I was able to take a minute and write this up. With that I figured that this would be a good topic to go into. Keeping yourself busy during quarantine! What are you doing? With your littles, with your spouse, or by yourself?

Eric and I have taken up wood burning crafts together. We started the first one-two weeks ago on our anniversary and I can't believe how much fun we had doing something different together! It's amazing how just trying something you never thought of trying can be something you end up loving the end results so much!
With our 12 year anniversary being during a time when we can not really go out and celebrate Eric came up with the idea of us working together but also making our own wood burned American flags! HOW COOL!
The look is something I have always liked but I never really took the time or the effort to actually try them. Both of us had different ideas of what we wanted and where we wanted our signs to go so they each resemble us in our own ways but we got to enjoy the day outside with our little and making something we can enjoy for years to come.

The next day after creating the American Flag's I decided that I really wanted to figure out making my name sign for Hayden's room, which is something I have wanted to do since before he was born but I had just never gotten around to it. I can not tell you how much effort and love went into making his sign and once I actually get it hung in his room I will share a photo!

What is fun about these crafts is that we were able to have fun, do them together, and include Hayden in them. Its been a struggle looking for normalcy, and this felt normal. Before this whole pandemic, we were always on the go and once that went away I feel like we (including Hayden) have not been enjoying the outdoors as much as we should be, so in between some work we played in the sun and he got to watch us create something we can tell him about years from now
that's really all I've got for today! I hope you all are keeping safe and busy during this time!
XOXO
